Job Search:

10 FOLLOW-UP

Write a THANK YOU letter, note or e-mail, or call.

° It is the courteous thing to do

° Few people do this, so you will stand out as a candidate

AND THEN...

  • Follow whatever directions your interviewer gave to you

  • If you haven't heard back after the specified time (or it has been a week or so) call.

  • Take a deep breath, relax and keep positive

THE EIGHTH SECTION...

The next SECTION, the eighth section, AFTER NETWORKING should be titled: “Follow-up” Make that Heading 1 style.

Your actual Thank You Letter will be on it's own page just after the “Follow-up” section head.

REMEMBER: this is your document, you choose what fonts, sizes, styles, colors, layout, graphics and picture to use. Be creative. Be you.

Your contact information, closing and signature should be the same as in your Cover Letter.

If you didn't have it before, you definitely have your interviewers names and titles to address this letter to. Remember the business card that you asked for at the end of the interview? Use it to directly address the thank you letter.
