Complete the following exercise:

1. In Excel select File>New from Template... In the Excel Workbook Gallery dialog search bar (on the upper right of the dialog) type "expense," then in the resulting list of templates on the right choose Travel expense report. See Figure 1 ==>

2. You are an employee of the X-Y-Zee Corporation at 2300 Panama Street in Hayward, California 95454, 510-786-2269. You work in the "Period-X" Department (where X is your class period number).
   
   
3. Your manager Mr. Lavendel has sent you to the CUE Conference in Palm Springs to talk to teachers about the X-Y-Zee new line-up of products. He is the one that must approve your expenses.
   
   
4. Counting your travel to get there and back you were gone for 5 days: from March 16 to March 20, 2024. So you will have to add a new row to the expense report.
   
   
5. You stayed four nights at the Bates Hotel, in a single king room for $195.85 a night.
   
   
6. To get there you drove your car 36 mile each way to and from the airport (you get reimbursed $0.65 per mile), you parked it there for $8.99 a day (under Misc) and flew on Southwest Airlines to Palm Springs. The flight cost you $438.63 round trip. For the five days you had a rental car at $45.88 per day.
   
   
7. You were allowed $12 for breakfast, $21 for lunch and $28.50 for diner. The first travel day was lunch and diner only and the return day only breakfast and lunch.
   
   
8. The CUE Conference registration and fees were $1576.27 payed the first day.
   
   
9. Everything you spent was in US currency, so use the abbreviation USD for US Dollars .in the expense currency column and 1-to-1 Exchange rate of 1.00.
