Complete the following exercises:

1. CREATE A SALES WORKSHEET

You are the owner of the Freaky Frame Shop, make a worksheet that shows the monthly sales for the first quarter of the year, for each size of frame that you sell.

Include the following:

• Three frame sizes: 8" X 10", 11" X 14", and 16" X 20"
• The prices for each are: 8" X 10" = $11.95, 11" X 14" = $12.95, and 16" X 20" = $13.95
• Make up sales for each assuming that the smaller frames sell better than the next larger ones
• Include the Total Sales, Average, Minimum and Maximum (in $) for each month.

Create a row for each frame size and a column for each month. Use the AutoSum functions to calculate the Total Dollar Sales, Average, Minimum and Maximum for each month.

Here is one idea of what to do... Have a column listing the frame sizes and one listing the frame prices. Then have two columns for each month: one with the number sold and one with the dollar amount sold. Calculate the dollar amount from the cells containing the price and number sold.

 

2. FORMAT A SALES WORKSHEET

You decide to post your frame sales worksheet for your employees. To make it more readable you will make the following changes:

• Make the font size for the column and row header labels bigger
• Use a different color for each month
• Insert a new row at the top and in it add the title Quarterly Sales. Center the title across the five columns and format it with a font and size appropriate for a title

In a cell below write a few sentences that explain why these changes make the data more readable.

 

3. FILL OUT YOUR TIME CARD

You must fill out the Freaky Frame Shop time card for the hours that you worked this week.
